Our goal is to ensure that everyone
using our software — whether it is HIBster,
HIBsterVention, aSAP, PD3, C3 or R3 — feels
comfortable and confident with their modules
so that they may do their best work.
We know
that it can be challenging to start any
new
program so we've put together a plan and
support system to get you and your team up
to
speed as quickly as possible.
How to Schedule an Introductory
Training
To schedule a training, please
respond to the welcome email with a date and
time that would work for you and your team. If
there are a couple of dates that'll work, that
is always helpful.
Once the date and time have been
confirmed with our presenter, an official
confirmation email and a calendar invite
will be sent to our primary contact
person.
What is the introductory
training?
With its initial subscription, the
school district receives an in-depth training
for everyone that will be using the
program.
Each program — HIBster,
HIBsterVention, aSAP, PD3, C3 or R3 — will
receive its own, separate training. We do not
recommend combining trainings for multiple
programs.
Our standard training will cover
everything needed to start using the program.
If, however, there is anything you would
really like us to focus on during the
training, make sure to let us know
beforehand.
How much does the training
cost?
The training is completely
free.
How long does the training
last?
Please reserve two hours for the
training.
The presentation takes maybe 90
minutes, oftentimes less. The remaining time
is reserved for any follow-up questions, if
necessary.
Where is the training held?
All trainings are held online.
We'll set up a live webinar where
everyone in the training can interact with the
presenter in real time. Team members are able
attend from their own classroom, office or
home.
In the future, on-site trainings may
again become available. We will announce when
those types of trainings are again
available.
Who should attend the
training?
HIBster This training is for
anyone who will
be using HIBster on a regular basis — the Anti-Bullying
Coordinator and all Anti-Bullying Specialists, in particular, should attend. Principals and the
superintendent have small but crucial roles in the HIB investigative process and would benefit from attending as well.
HIBsterVention This training
is for anyone who will
be using HIBsterVention on a regular basis, in
particular those on the I&RS Team and the
Child Study Team.
In order to ensure proper usage and
to aid in the complete understanding of
HIBstervention, we recommend a tiered training
approach, in the following order:
Training No. 1 — Directors of
Counseling, Special Education, Pupil Personnel
and other key administrators
Training No. 2 — Directors of
individual school’s I&RS teams/school
administrators
Training No. 3 — I&RS
teams
Training No. 4 —
Teachers
Depending on the size of your
district and the
number of people attending a given training,
it may make sense to combine the first three
trainings — especially if there is a large
overlap in personnel. For larger districts, it
probably makes the most sense to have three
separate trainings. The fourth training, for
the teachers, will always be held
separately.
aSAP This training is for
anyone who will be using
aSAP on a regular basis. We'll train the
entire district at this time, since the
program is the same to use regardless of grade
level.
Onspire — PD3, C3, R3 This
training is for anyone will be overseeing
any of the three Onspire modules (PD3, C3 or
R3).
We will train only those who will be
assigning or moderating courses; there is not
a training for those taking the courses since
that aspect is very straight forward.
The training for each module is very
quick —
around 15-20 minutes.
Does everyone have to attend the
training?
Participation is optional, of
course, but we’ve
found that districts with a high turn-out rate
for the training are able to integrate the
program more smoothly into their day-to-day
workflow.
We strongly encourage those who will
be using the program to attend the training
session.
For those unable to attend, we can
record the
webinar. Please request that the training be
recorded; we will then email to the primary
contact a temporary link to download the
recording and distribute it to those
who could not be present for the live
version.
Does your account need to be
completely set up before
the training?
No. During the training webinar, our
presenter
will use a demo account while demonstrating
the program. Your district account will not be
used at all.
Please schedule the training as soon
as
possible. Our Support will work with you to
have your account set up as quickly we
can.
