When you are working with our Support team, you may be asked to provide a screenshot of the issue.
A screenshot is a picture of what is currently being displayed on your screen.
Sometimes it is difficult to explain the issue via email or over the phone. Allowing a member of the Support team to see exactly what is going if always helpful and oftentimes expedites the resolution of the issue.
To create a screenshot and then email it to the Support team, please follow the below instructions.
1. Make sure the problem is displayed on your screen
Also make sure to close any personal information that may be displayed on the screen.
2. Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard
The print screen button may be labeled as “PrtScn,” “PrntScrn,” “Print Scr,” or something similar.
The Print Screen button is normally located at the end of the row of Function keys (between F12 and Scroll Lock). On laptop keyboards, you may have to press the “Function” or “Fn” key to
access the Print Screen feature.
When you press the key, it will look
like nothing happened, but the screenshot has been saved to your
clipboard. That means that you now have a copy of that image and able to paste that image somewhere else.
3. Paste the image directly into your email
Open a new message in your email program (this could be Outlook, Gmail, etc.).
Click into the body of the email. Paste the screenshot into the image by either a) pressing Ctrl + V buttons at the same time or b) right-clicking with your mouse and then clicking the Paste option.
The screenshot should now be displayed inside the email message.
4. Email the screenshot to the Support team
Send the email with the screenshot into it to support@hibreporting.com
