Sometimes an outdated HIBster certificate will get saved on your
Mac when using Safari as your browser. This will prevent you from accessing the website.
To continue accessing HIBster via the
Safari browser, you need to delete that certificate.
After it is deleted,
go to the website again. A new, updated certificate is automatically
generated. You may need to refresh a few times for it to kick in.
We’ve included instructions below for deleting the
certificate from Keychain, but if you don’t feel comfortable doing that, there
is a simpler solution: you can use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox instead of Safari.
Here are the instructions for deleting the certificate:
- Click on the "Finder" icon in the Dock
- Click on the "Go" menu at the top of the
window
- Select "Utilities"
- Double-click on "Keychain Access"
- Select "Certificates" from the list of
categories. Click on the certificate you want to delete. It will
have “hibster” somewhere in the name.
- Click on "Edit" at the top
of the screen
- Click "Delete".
- Confirm by
clicking "Delete" again when prompted.
